How it works

All processing runs locally in your browser. No uploads.

  • Remove all metadata — re‑encodes via canvas (removes EXIF/XMP/IPTC). Fast and thorough.
  • Remove location only — JPEG: drops EXIF/XMP/IPTC blocks; PNG: drops textual chunks (tEXt/iTXt/zTXt). Pixels stay intact; ICC usually kept.
  • Preserve ICC profile (JPEG) — binary cleanup path keeps APP2 (ICC_PROFILE) while removing others.
  • Preserve Author/Copyright — keeps only these fields (if present) and strips the rest. JPEG only.

Supported: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Limits: HEIC/RAW not supported. Very large images may use lots of memory.
